The TWIN ROTAWEIGH rotating-cell weigh feeder is designed for the continuous dosing and industrial weighing of fine-grained or powdered products from a silo. This is a two-stage horizontal cellular-impeller feeder with a built-in weighing system.

With its exceptional mechanical and electrical robustness, it gives industrial companies the benefit of a 24/7 weigh feeder function with an availability rate of over 99% and constant high-precision measurement.

This rotary weigh feeder is ideal for low flow rates (from 2 to 150 m3/h) and cases where the behaviour of the material is not constant (variations due to humidity, temperature and composition of the material). Its dual-chamber design allows the fusion of the material to be controlled.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TWIN ROTAWEIGH, THE DOUBLE-STAGE ROTARY WEIGH FEEDER

 

Operating principle :

The TWIN ROTAWEIGH is an industrial feeder equipped with two-stage horizontal cellular impellers and a weighing system. It transports the product over a full turn divided into two half-turns, one in the upper chamber and one in the lower chamber. This means that the product inlet and outlet are aligned, optimising the footprint. This specific arrangement excludes the influence of the weight of the column of material stored above, as well as pressure variations in the outlet pipe during weighing.

This continuous dosing equipment is suspended from connectors connected to a load cell, indicating the mass of material present in the machine. The rotation speed is adjusted to maintain a constant flow rate, corresponding to the pre-established setpoint.

The TWIN ROTAWEIGH range of double-stage rotary weigh feeders can handle flow rates from 2 m³/h to 800 m³/h. Different impeller diameters and drive sizes are also available to cover a wide range of flow rates.

/ Control : the TWIN ROTAWEIGH rotary weigh feeder is controlled by the SCM control module. Connected directly to the sensors, it collects the data and signals needed to calculate the flow rate, totals and the regulation function.
