BFC : Industrial electronic controller with flowmeter for belt scale

BFC electronic controller : Dual flowmeter and totaliser function for belt scales and industrial dosing equipment

The BFC is an electronic controller that combines the functionalities of a flowmeter and a totaliser. This measuring instrument is intended for use with SBS (Smart Belt scale) type belt scales, belt scales for metal apron conveyors SAS (Smart Apron Scale) type belt scales and impact plate (FLOW) flow meters and flow meters (GRAN).

As a measurement tool for industrial dosing, it connects to both analogue and digital force sensors. It calculates the flow of material instantaneously while totalling the entire quantity transported by the belt.

It has been specially designed for exclusive compatibility with HASLER Group equipment.

Advantages of the BFC electronic controller

Highly accurate flow measurement

The BFC electronic controller is capable of providing extremely accurate flow measurements, which results in improved accuracy when dosing materials.

Real time control

The flow meter function of this industrial controller enables real-time monitoring of material throughput, so that dosing parameters can be adjusted quickly as variations occur.

Intuitive and ergonomic interface

Fully configurable BFC home page, 13-key keypad for quick access to the main functions and LED function for instant display of the system status.

Advanced filtering options on the weighscale

This option improves the accuracy and stability of measurements in environments in which external disturbances can influence the results.

Process optimisation

The combination of a flow meter and a totaliser makes it possible to optimise industrial dosing processes by automatically adjusting dosed quantities depending on actual requirements.

BFC electronic controller applications

The BFC electronic controller is dedicated to precise measurements in the industrial dosing of materials on a belt scale. It is used in combination with HASLER Group equipment for a multitude of industrial applications:

Description and operation of the BFC electronic controller

The BFC electronic controller offers the possibility of calculating the material flow rate instantaneously while accumulating the total quantity transported by the belt, wall-mounted and flush-mounted versions are available to meet the constraints of your plant.

This electronic equipment has:

3 Isolated digital outputs with configurable thresholds: totaliser, alarm, horn, etc.
1 Configurable isolated 0/4-20 mA analogue output: flow rate, instantaneous weight, speed, load per metre
2 Configurable isolated digital inputs: out-of-limit acknowledgement, totaliser reset, etc.

A choice of three communication protocols is available as an option: Ethernet, Modbus TCP and Profibus DP.

Key features:

/ Weight and speed measurement
/ Manual and/or automatic taring
/ Calculation of instantaneous and average flow
/ Monitoring of the belt slip and offset (SBS)
/ Management of the conveyor inclination

Operating mode:

The supervisor communicates with the BFC controller in analogue or digital form.

The BFC controller:

/ Calculates the flow rate and totalises.
/ Displays information useful to the user.
/ Controls operation of the dosing equipment (HASLER Group belt scale or flow meter).

The weighing station measures the weight and speed.

Compatibility :

This industrial measurement tool must be associated with HASLER Group dosing equipment, in particular:

/ SBS belt scales
/ SAS belt scales
/ FLOW impact plate flow meter
/ GRAN flow meter
