The GIGRAVIT high-flow belt feeder offers a flow rate of up to 1,100 with a precision and a dosing precision of ± 0.5%. Its belt self-centring and adjustable tension system guarantees equal distribution of materials.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION OF THE GIGRAVIT INDUSTRIAL BELT FEEDER

 

Description:

The GIGRAVIT belt feeder is an industrial dosing system specifically designed for high flow rates up to 600 m3/h. It offers a flow rate ranging from 1% to 100% of the stated rate, ensuring optimum productivity in the most demanding industrial environments.

The GIGRAVIT industrial belt feeder is fitted with welded stringers that provide a strong, durable structure and ensure optimum stability of materials during operation. Its robust mechanical construction offers a long service life and reliable performance, even in the most demanding environments such as the cement or building materials industries.

The self-centring system of the belt in the GIGRAVIT unit ensures uniform distribution of materials and optimises precise and consistent dosing of materials conveyed to ±0.5%. To ensure maximum adaptability, the GIGRAVIT belt feeder is available in three belt widths and custom lengths to suit your application.

How it works:

/ The material passes through the feeder inlet hopper and is conveyed to the belt scale by the conveyor belt.

/ The flow rate is calculated according to the belt speed and the load measured when it reaches the feeder load-out.

Options:

To meet the specific requirements of heavy industry, the GIGRAVIT feeder is available with a range of options:

/ Chain collector : transverse scrapers driven by two side chains collect particles escaping from the feeder and carry them back to the common load-out.

/ Hammer gate: the hammer gate offers precise flow control and equal material distribution due to the action of the moving hammers. It also reduces the risk of jamming, ensuring smooth dosing operation.

/ Vibrating inlet hopper: a vibrating inlet hopper facilitates the flow of sticky products (wet gypsum, clay, etc.) and avoids the risk of blockages.

/ Extended or reinforced inlet hopper: the GIGRAVIT feeder can be fitted with an extended inlet hopper for materials with poor flow properties, or a reinforced hopper for highly abrasive products such as clinker.

/ Load-out breaker: this device eliminates material agglomerates that could form during the conveying process. It ensures a continuous and regular flow by separating materials, thus avoiding blockages in the process.

/ Rod gate, plate gate: this option allows precise control of the opening and closing of the material inlet gates to adjust the flow rate and the quantity of material conveyed.

/ Material cover: the material cover prevents contact and the emission of dust.

/ Special high-temperature conveyor belt: Specific high-temperature rubber compound (-45°C to +200°C), resistant to acids and alkaline substances. Can be used in all industrial sectors to transport hot materials such as ash, limestone, coke, slag, clinker…

 

The GIGRAVIT dosing solution can be controlled by the SCMIII controller which receives data and signals directly from the feeder sensors (weight, speed, offset, belt index, etc.). The data generated and alarms are sent to the PDU console.
