The MAMMUTHUS Light extractor weigh feeder is specially designed for the transport and continuous dosing of alternative fuels or very low-density materials. Particularly suitable for high flow rates and large volumes, it combines an extractor and a weigh feeder in a single piece of equipment, minimising footprint and maintenance.
The MAMMUTHUS Light enables Solid Recovered Fuels (SRF) to be routed and dosed accurately to power the production of heating energy or heat while reducing fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
The MAMMUTHUS Light is an industrial dosing solution that combines the robustness of a metal apron extractor with precision dosing.
Technical sheet
2-in-1 industrial equipment for high flow rates
The MAMMUTHUS Light industrial feeder combines an extractor and a weigh feeder in a single machine, reducing the footprint and maintenance of the equipment.
Optimised performance for alternative fuels
The MAMMUTHUS Light is designed to meet the needs of heavy industry to incorporate alternative fuels or agricultural waste into their energy production process. It avoids the compaction common with high-volume materials.
EQUIPMENT SUITABLE FOR LIGHT MATERIALS
The MAMMUTHUS Light industrial feeder is specially equipped for conveying light materials, with components that enable stable/regular flow rates: pressure drum at the outlet of the hopper, a crusher at the discharge point and a waste collector.
HIGH ACCURACY
With an accuracy of ±1%, the MAMMUTHUS Light is an appropriate solution for the requirements of continuous cement plant processes.
PROVEN ROBUSTNESS
Featuring exceptional mechanical and electrical toughness, this extractor weigh feeder designed and manufactured by our experts has delivered maximum durability for decades.
SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Built-in inspection doors facilitate commissioning and maintenance for continuous process industries.
The MAMMUTHUS Light extractor weigh feeder is a cement plant belt weighing machine specifically developed for transporting light materials such as alternative fuels. This high-performance equipment designed for continuous processes has been used for decades, mainly in the :
Alternative fuels such as industrial or recovered wood chips and pieces, plastic film, household and industrial waste, cardboard, used tyres, nut shells (hazelnuts, walnuts, cocoa beans, etc.) and other recycled products.
Other versions of the MAMMUTHUS are available to fulfil different industrial constraints and requirements : MAMMUTHUS, MAMMUTHUS Clinker, MAMMUTHUS 2000.
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION OF THE MAMMUTHUS LIGHT EXTRACTOR WEIGH FEEDER
Designed for the transport of light materials (plastic film, cardboard, wood chips, recycled products, crushed tyres, etc.), the MAMMUTHUS Light industrial feeder offers an accurate, constant flow rate.
It consists of an extraction section, a metal apron conveyor belt and force sensors (integrated weigh bridge). An index passage detector synchronises the segmented derating of the apron when it is empty.
The MAMMUTHUS Light industrial dosing system incorporates an impulse sensor in its geared motor for an even more accurate reading of the speed of movement of the material on the metal apron.
The double chain traction allows high load capacity and resistance to wear in line with the needs of cement plants.
The MAMMUTHUS Light industrial dosing system offers an accuracy of ±1%, making it particularly suitable for the extraction and dosing of products with a density of less than 0.6 t/m3 in cement plants.
Equipment :
/ The MAMMUTHUS Light extractor weigh feeder is fully enclosed to protect the transported materials and secure the working environment.
/ It is equipped with a pressure drum at the outlet of the hopper, a lump breaker at the discharge point and a waste collector.
/ The integrated inspection doors facilitate the commissioning and maintenance of the feeder, which is particularly useful for continuous processes.
Control :
The MAMMUTHUS Light can be controlled by the SCMIII material flow control system, which collects the data and signals needed to calculate flow, total quantities and regulation functions.
The PDU console receives and displays all the data and alerts generated during the dosing process in real time.
