LUMPP industrial counter-rotating or coaxial mixer-agitator

LUMPP COAXIAL OR COUNTER-ROTATING MIXER : Industrial mixing solution for complex rheology

The LUMPP counter-rotating coaxial agitator is a mixing system providing dual agitation to handle even the most viscous liquids. This high-performance industrial agitation equipment has an impeller positioned at the centre rotating in one direction, and a second impeller against the wall rotating in the opposite direction to the central impeller

It offers an optimised homogenisation solution for mixing products with a high viscosity or complex rheology (non-Newtonian fluids).

ADVANTAGES OF THE LUMPP COAXIAL COUNTER-ROTATING MIXER

Unrivalled performance for complex processes

Conceived and designed specifically to handle extreme operating conditions such as very high pressures and temperatures, this counter-rotating mixer offers an optimum solution for mixing products with a high viscosity or complex rheology.

Thermal adaptability

The anchor and scrapers promote temperature homogenisation in processes involving heat exchange at the tank wall (double envelope).

Wide field of application

This industrial agitation system can be used for any type of mixing operation, offering a virtually limitless range of technical applications.

Simplified installation and maintenance

A dismantling system that does not require the tank to be emptied can be fitted on request for agitators with a mechanical sealing system.

Description of the LUMPP counter-rotating coaxial mixer

The LUMPP counter-rotating coaxial mixer features a central impeller to achieve rapid mixing by projecting the product towards the walls of the tank. Depending on requirements, these impellers can have a helical screw, dispersion turbines, inclined turbines or pump profile propellers to intensify their effect and facilitate heat exchange.

At the same time, the two- or three-armed anchor provides slow agitation in the opposite direction to the central agitation, counteracting the movement caused by the rapid mixing.

The combined action of these two coaxial impellers rotating in opposite directions ensures that even the most viscous fluids are set in motion and the entire volume is homogenised.

For the most viscous products, or mixtures with a tendency to clog, the anchor is fitted with scrapers to prevent the formation of a film on the walls.

The LUMPP coaxial mixers feature a variety of impellers selected by our experts to suit different industrial processes and applications. They can include anchors, ribbons, scrapers or features specific to polymerisation.
