GRAVIT LIGHT : Industrial belt feeder unit for light material dosing

The GRAVIT Light industrial belt feeder is ideal for dosing lightweight materials such as fibres, plastics, shredded tyres or wood, up to 150 m3/h. This continuous process feeder offers exceptional mechanical and electrical robustness. It operates autonomously 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

It incorporates a double weighing system: firstly, an extraction control system upstream to ensure a stable volume on the belt, and secondly, an output weighing system to continuously ensure a constant flow rate and increased precision. It is equipped with two sophisticated internal and external belt cleaning systems that effectively eliminate clogging dust residues.

The GRAVIT Light industrial dosing solution is fully enclosed and hermetically sealed with several barriers. It can deliver precise dosing volumes, accurate to ± 0.5%.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION OF THE GRAVIT LIGHT INDUSTRIAL BELT FEEDER

 

The GRAVIT Light industrial belt feeder is particularly suitable for conveying lightweight materials such as fibres, plastics, shredded tyres or wood, up to 150 m3/h.

It is fitted as standard with an independent motorised pressure drum module to facilitate extraction of the product from the inlet hopper and to adjust the height of product in the material channel towards the built-in weighing system.

An ATEX version is available on request for dust-laden explosive environments.

It incorporates a dual weighing system:

/ At the inlet to regulate inflow and obtain a stable volume on the belt.
/ At the output to continuously ensure a constant flow rate and increased precision.

Its belt scraper effectively removes residues of low-density materials such as granules or light powders that could adhere to the conveyor belt.

The GRAVIT Light industrial weigh belt system is fitted as standard with an independent motorised pressure drum module to facilitate material inflow from the inlet hopper and to adjust the height of product in the material channel conveyed towards the built-in weighing system, to ensure constant flow rate and transport.

The conveyor belt of the GRAVIT Light is slim and particularly suitable for very low- density materials.

It is also fully enclosed and equipped with several barriers ensuring a seal between the material channel and the belt, preventing material leaks and guaranteeing precise and consistent flow accurate to ± 0.5%.

GRAVIT Light is available in an ATEX version (on request) for potentially explosive dust-laden atmospheres.

Options :

/ Spillage conveyor : Transverse scrapers operated by two side chains collect the particles that have escaped from the belt feeder and return them to the load-out point.

/ Feed screw : Controlled by the first weighbridge, the feed screw is the link between the belt feeder and the alternative fuel storage hopper.

 

The GIGRAVIT Light dosing solution can be controlled by the SCMIII controller which receives data and signals directly from the feeder sensors, such as weight, speed, offset, belt index, etc. Information and alerts generated are transmitted to the PDU console.
