1. What is industrial liquid-solid vacuum filtration?

Liquid-solid filtration is a process used in industries to separate solid particles from a liquid. This separation is achieved using a filter medium. The filter medium allows the liquid to pass through while retaining the solid particles. The filter medium can be made of various materials: woven wire mesh, filter cloth, or paper.

During filtration, the mixture of liquid and solids also known as the slurry, is fed into the filter.
The liquid, called the filtrate, passes through the filter medium, leaving the solid particles behind as a filter cake.
